Sankhu, which is the oldest Newari Village, located at north side of Kathmandu valley. From the main town of Kathmandu valley it is around 16 km.
Swasthani Purnima is a tribute to the Goddess through fasting and ritual bathing in Sali Nadi (Sankhu), mainly by women. It begins on the full moon of the Nepali month of Magh and ends on the full moon of the Nepali month of Fagun.
Swasthani is hindu sacred book base on Lord Shiva (Hindu God). From Purnima (full moon) of the Nepali month Magh people read Swasthani book and ends on Nepali month Fagun Purnima. Every year in Nepal Hindu celebrate this festival.
